About Me:

     Hi!  My name is Courtney Wilson and I’m a military wife and homeschooling mom of 5 (and ½).  We currently live in New Jersey where we spend a lot of time enjoying American History National Parks.  When I’m not homeschooling my kiddos I’m building and refinishing furniture, reading history or current events, writing for my blog, and running (in theory).

     I started homeschooling back in 2009 when, as the young mother of three children ages 6 and under, I found myself angry, bitter, and feeling like I was missing out on a great life… and you know what?  I was.  It turned out that the great life I thought I was missing was under my nose the whole time but I was too blind to see it.

     Against all odds and all logic I was led to homeschool my children.  Seemingly overnight the blinders were ripped off and I was finally able to see my children for the amazing people they were.  Five years later I love nothing more than to discover the world and it’s many wonders with my children.

     I’m not the same person I was five years ago.  I’m not even friends with that person.  What I have learned in the last five years leads me to want nothing more than to help other mothers find the same incredible joy and fulfillment in and with their children as I do.  The relationship between a mother and her children is nothing short of magical!
