About Us

There have been many who have stepped up to contribute to this great endeavor over the last ten years.  The baton has now been passed on to me and my team and we are excited to take it and run the best race we can.   LDS-NHA is owned and operated by myself, Jacob Irving, son of founder, Jolene Irving.  It is her vision that has driven this organization and has inspired us to see it through to the next generation.   With the help of my wife LeeAnna and her long-time friend Nicole, our team is focused on bringing the national homeschool scene even more into the online world.  By focusing on social media and discussion forums, along with blog posts, we hope to engage  homeschoolers around the nation on a weekly, if not daily, basis and build a community they trust as a helpful resource.

We want to make connections around the globe and will seek to find new ways to find one another.  It is our hope to bring stellar vendors to the site who will be helpful in their insights and serviceable with their curriculum.  BYU Continuing Education has joined with us in our endeavor  and will continue to be a strong partner in our progress to connect the homeschoolers around the country.  As we progress, we will expand our efforts into different types of conferences, both physical and virtual.

We will be looking for help from anyone who has a passion for homeschooling and wants to contribute in a meaningful way.  There is a lot of work to do, and many hands make it easier.  It is also more rewarding to share success with a large community.  If you have any interest in helping, please let Jacob know by dropping him a line (Jacob@LDS-NHA.org).

We would be amiss if we did not recognize those who have had a hand in helping this organization in the past.  Our success is built on those who have helped build the foundation of what we now enjoy. Here is a history of those who have served as leaders in developing LDS-NHA. We want them to always know and be remembered for the important parts they have each played in our behalf.

  • Jack Monnett
  • Starla Hale
  • Dana Wood
  • Melanie Skelton
  • Cathy Diuguid
  • Jody Blomquist
  • Annie Edwards
  • Erik Peterson

We do not have all of the bios we would like, so if your name is not here, and you'd like it to be, please send us an email (Jacob@LDS-NHA.org) and we'll work with you to get it listed here.
